About Christine Litsey

I am a Minnesota Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and specialize in trauma and its accompanying symptoms, including sexual assault and domestic violence, bereavement, loss and grief, relationship issues and life transitions. I work with adults of all ages.

My Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology/Marriage and Family Therapy is from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California and my Bachelor of Arts is from the University of Minnesota in Communications and Broadcast Production. I also earned a post-baccalaureate Minnesota teaching license from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.

My professional life has been rich and varied. I originally worked in television, radio, and in commercial broadcast production and in marketing for a premium cable television network while living on the West Coast and in the Midwest. I then spent twelve years as an educator in the Richfield, Minnesota School District and as a learning specialist in private practice. After that, I worked as a Guardian ad Litem for the Minnesota Fourth Judicial District Juvenile Court system and as a mediator for Community Mediation and Restorative Services. My clinical experience has been as a therapist for the Silicon Valley YWCA Healing Center mental health clinic in San Jose, California, as an on-site school therapist for the San Jose Unified School District and as a bereavement counselor at Pathways Hospice in Sunnyvale, California, in addition to working with clients through my private practice in Wayzata, Minnesota.
